A new website for a law firm fresh from a full rebrand, with parallax sections that Oxygen Classic can’t do on its own.

The brief

Mc Naught & Co has been practising law for over 40 years, mostly for people buying property and for business owners. The firm had just been through a complete rebrand, and the agency behind it also designed the new website. Our job was to build it, and to make it feel as polished as the new brand.

My role

I built the site in Oxygen Classic: the pages, the parallax, and the templates behind the news and team sections.

How I approached it

The design called for parallax backgrounds, where the photo moves more slowly than the page as you scroll. Oxygen Classic has no setting for that, so I added the Paroller.js library in a code block and gave each parallax section its own attributes for speed and direction.

The news section had to be easy for the client to run, so I added ACF fields for the extra details on each article and built separate templates for articles and archives. Team members are a custom post type too, so people can be added or removed without touching the layout.

The result

The site launched in 2025. What I’m proudest of is how closely the finished site follows the design.
